Hi Andy, thanks for the hard work! Any plans of bringing the pay rate chart back to life. I ask because many of us may be out on the street come this fall after the CARES act expires.
Hi Andy, thanks for the hard work! Any plans of bringing the pay rate chart back to life. I ask because many of us may be out on the street come this fall after the CARES act expires.
I'm wanting to, but all the info I currently have is way out of date so I'll be starting from scratch.
I tried reviving my old pay scale submission form but most of the files were missing since there were no backups. This means I have to start from scratch but what I will try and do is get something started that shows the same as what was up beforehand.
I'm working on the new page for the pay comparison and I'm basically starting from scratch. The only page I was able to pull up was one from 2017 so all of that data is no gouda.
This is what I've come up with as far as Airline companies with sim shops:
- Alaska Airlines
- American Airlines
- Delta Air Lines
- Southwest Airlines
- United Airlines
Freight:
- FedEx
- Kalitta Air
- UPS
Contract and Military:
- Airbus Training Centre
- Boeing
- CAE
- CAE USA (union?)
- General Electric
- L3 Technologies
- Flight Safety
- Simcom
If you can think of any other areas with sim shops let me know. I'm really out of touch with the contract & military sim shops so any help on adding names to the list please respond to this post.
The data for each shop will be close to what I had before:
- Base hourly pay (minimum to maximum hourly rate)
- Time duration needed to get to top of scale
- Union or nonunion, also would like to get the local
- Does the shop have licenses and/or premiums?
- Is there a Lead Technician - if so, what is the premium
- Shift diff pay
- Is there a longevity pay increase
- Bonuses - both contracted and goal
- Future pay increases (this data is typically for union shops as they have a contract that shows future pay rates)
- Retirement rate - does the company offer retirement packages or is it just 401k
- Vacation time and other time off: PPT/sick days/holidays/etc.
If you can think of anything else please post a reply to this posting.
Rumor has it Omni Air is setting up their own training center at AFW (near Dallas). Any truth to this?
When I go back to work Thursday night I will gather up our info again and send it over.
The pay and benefits page has been updated with some of the information I received but there's still a lot missing.
I also think I got the bugs worked out of the webform for sending me info. The new page is at http://www.simtechonline.com/form.html
I had to include a Captcha box because of the spambots.
I will add companies such as
TRU
Avenger Flight Group
ABXair
Evert Air Cargo
CAE Simuflite
and any other shops as I receive data regarding their pay and bennies.
The FedEx info is not entirely correct. (edited by Andy)
