I was on a NWA flight the other day and overheard the Flight Attendant talking to a passenger that First Class was going away due too lose of funds. Any feedback or rumors on this, or was she blowing smoke out the arse.

kinda makes sense from a bean couter point of view, i guess. most of the new airlines we train are one class seating like jet blue, etc., and the uber class is probably tired of looking at us as we board after them. it makes them ucomfortable being so close, you know. with the price of luxury charter down to 7500 from new york to miami down to 6000, it more affordable to go that way!!!
to quote W.C.Fields, "I've been poor and I've been rich, rich is better."

Sad part is that what passes for first class today is what coach class was 25 years ago. As far as the legacy carriers go, United still has the best first class service, Northwest the worst.
