To all who may be interested in this position.

Having worked an RSAF contract for the F-15 flight sim in country from 1982 to 1987. Some important things to look for.

Read the contract or statement of work carefully. Find out who will hold your passport while in country?!!

Will you be paid in Saudi Rials or US dollars? What country will your pay be deposited or paid in?

Hope this helps

Did you work for Goodyear in those days. I may know you if you were at Khamis. I was there from 2002 to 2004 on the F15 program. I would imagine that there will be a front company that will hold passports. Currently, under Peace Sun, they pay in either riyals or dollars and they will deposit it to any bank account you want.

Yes I was on the last Goodyear/Loral contract for the F-15C. May of1982 to July of 1987. I spent most of my time in Kamise Mushayt and some time in Taief.

lookaroun No I am not D. Carson. I remember the rehost to the 87/80 what a lovely furnace it made. They still had heat problems when I left the country. In my opinion the Harris setup was better. It probably would not handle all the MSIP mods they had planned. But it was reliable. Lockheed Martin called me in for an interview a few years back. To return to Khamis on the export E model. I turned it down not enough money and benefits had changed a lot. I did suggest that Roger might be interested in returning. From your last post it looks like he did.

The C model was still running hot when we tore it out 2 years ago. Only thing left there when I left in 2004 was the S model 15. They were supposed to be getting a new C model trainer from Boeing, but I do not know if they have to this date. They will be getting a 2nd S model WST this year at Khamis. And the company now is Al Salam Aircraft. The bennies and pay are even worse now.

Still using a Martin Marietta (read that GE) visual to do the FLIR, and all the other :vis" type stuff. There is no out the window visual display. Closest then you have is the WFOV HUD display in the fron cockpit. I doubt that they ever add it. Seems like they are always out of money. They are supposed to get a second WST at Khamis this year. It was built along with the first 2 back in mid 90s, but just now being sent over. They rehosted with PCS, the RSX is gone.
