Hey everybody,

When i last tried to run an autocal process, the calibration stopped when the process tried to test the function of the slide projector.

I checked all the recomended things. there is no ambient light in the cockpit, the shutter istn't manually opened... the shutter isn't stuck. When i run the test, i can actualy see it open and close.

the thing just is, i keep getting error's that the shutter is to slow...

any sugestions are welcome!

thnx

The shutters do have to be replaced as they can start to seize, or the driver card (essc) maybe starting to fail, I have seen both happen.

You can also go onto your autocal comp and watch to see what the shutter is doing. There should be a tab to open the window to view. This does slow the autocal down somewhat.

I agree with replacing the shutter.

He had this happen also some times.

We got it solved by restarting the autocal PC.

For some reason the was a communication problem.

We have had them fail also. I sent one to CAE and they did a mod on it. The old shutters are also not currently mfg by the vendor any longer. They are not directly replaceable with the new ones per the vendor. CAE is suppsoed to be looking into this.
