Simulator Engineer

Position Summary
Ensure that all simulators and associated training devices are maintained to the highest possible standard and are fit for training.
Principal Responsibilities
Meet and debrief crew
Assist and advise customers and training instructors to ensure maximum benefit from training time
Carry out daily readiness/quality check and sign off simulator as 'fit for training'
Preparation of ground school equipment and carry out a daily readiness check
Ensure technical logs, job cards and simulator information boards accurately reflect status of the simulators
Monitor Technical Log entries and assess what corrective actions, spares, instruments etc are required, ensuring items are available
Ensure that all technical log entries are cleared on a daily basis through corrective action or by raising a Job Card
Monitor the status of outstanding job cards
Clear open Job Cards as time and resources allow and in priority order as directed.
Carry out preventative maintenance as instructed/required
Request spares, monitoring delivery progress until received
Repair unserviceable Line Replacement Units (LRU's)
Brief counterpart engineering staff on the status of the simulator during shift handover
Qualifications Required
Minimum of 2 years simulator experience
Team player
Energetic and enthusiastic with the ability to energise and influence others
Able to work on own initiative and have the ability to handle multiple priorities
Good communication skills
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Must be a citizen of the UK or legally authorised to work in the UK
