When was the last time you heard of a Boeing Jet landing with the gear 90' out, or the tail section falling off. Miss f'n Jones sounds just like she fell right out of the onion patch. I won't take the bus cause "If it ain't Boeing I ain't Going."nono:

That was messed up with the Jet Blue nose wheel, but you have to agree, that was one hell of a landing given the circumstances. He was off the center line by inches.

Just because his gear was 90 out dosn't mean his instruments and autoland were not working. More than the testament for good airmanship at putting the A/C on the center line is the manufacturing of the gear strut assembly.jimi1:

I'm surprized that I even read that...
I don't normally check to see what the "badmouthing" is. Most of the time I just ignore it (me being a former Boeing guy and all).
It was interesting to see that it was a supplier issue though.
Whew! Nothing with my name on it!
That Jet Blue incident?
I was looking for a "REMOVE BEFORE FLIGHT" flag!
The landing was pretty good, but he didn't have to land the thing with the front 1/4 of the fuse' missing either.
hehehe
Anyway, I thought that was normal operation for an A-320.

Was it not the 737 (as well as an A320 or two) that had problems with rudder hard over from time to time, a while back?
Anyway, just buy American - Goldarn it!

I'm a former sim puke but I have totally gone overboard and work
for Boeing FLTTEST ( my L. plate) I would fly Boeing any time or place.
We go to parameters you never approach in a commercial flight.
( I hope not) Like ever time I flew a Sim, my buddies would see how
many wierd malfunctions they could throw in, Now we do it for real.
The faster the rollercoaster, the better the ride for me. Nbeestoy....

I suppose this string is in fun but we all know that things break, we would not have jobs if they didn't.

if your mim's and to/tm's are in french, check the part number. i'm positive we make them in english as well as chinese, german, farci, russian, arabic, whatever you need, dude. we have several full sets here at the training center.
remember the technicians "6 p's rule"... piss poor planning prevents proper performance!!!
navy rule number 1. what goes up must come down. if the down cycle was an emergency, make sure your signature was't on the MAF form for the part that failed!!!
