My point is you don't like George Bush and like to see things that show him in a negative view.

Is that to the point?

I would have to admit that I'm starting to see that Mr Bush ain't all he should be or was.

I'm not very politically savvy, but I think I can read people fairly well.

Mr. Bush seems had some good ideas at first, but was it his little down-home manner that attracted me? Hmmmm... It seems that every time he has a speech he has to look at the audience for approval. It's kinda like a bad high school debate where the kid was taught to make eye contact and smile and that would win points, but did not know his subject matter. I'm faintt: afraid that Mr. Bush is just a high school kid who is being told what to say and is not being too convincing. What really scares me is I voted for him and the platform that he stands on.

I still trust him better than Kerry.

That guy just didn't sit well with me.

I understand what you mean. And I had no great admiration for Kerry either. However, if we had delved a little into Bush's past, we would have seen the bill of goods that was being palmed off on us. I think Kerry would have shown a lot more politcal pespecuity than Bush. Bush has always reminded me of Eddie Haskell with a Yale degree.

I didn't set out to show George Bush in a negative view. He managed all that by himself. There's an old saying I heard many years ago. Whenever a public lie dances on the stage, the truth is waiting in the wings. It's been waiting in the wings for three years. It's that now there aren't enough smoke and mirrors maintain the facade.

Be it George Bush or John Kerry, whenever they open their mouth, be skeptical.

And I won't say, "I told you so." It won't be the first or last time you or I make a bad political choice.

I hope you still appreciate the humor and irony that was being conveyed.

It depends upon how much there is left to pick up after another three years of Boy Blunder. barf:

If Hillary needs to be bashed, Hillary gets bashed. So long as we let them know that business as usual will not be tolerated. Hillary may be an improvement over W, but I'm looking forward to that like root canal work. She's a member of the DLC, which wants to turn the Democratic Party into a Republican Lite party. faintt:

Repob8,

Shoot you said it with the Eddie Haskell comparison. I couldn't put my fingers on it. Even when I used that (eddie) analogy on one of my sons (shifty eyed) friends who just got out of jail. I just hate the way he explains something and smiles at the "audience" when he says it. It's it's like he just learned about it and now he's an expert on it so he's condescendingly laying his speech on the peeps. While he's still realizing what he's talking about, he is looking at the people in disbelief that they didn't know that already. You know what I'm saying?

I kinda cringe at the idea that Mr. Cheney gave up his trip to the oil sands in Canada to visit the Katrina situation. Amazing you don't hear about him visiting Louisiana ( Did he fake it?).

Hillary or any other women is not going to be President of the US right now or any time soon. Get off it. It ain't gonna happen.

Who's the next Prez?

Sounds like the topic of another post.

To paraphrase Humphrey Bogart in Casablanca, "Bluie, this could be the start of a beautiful relationship." biggrin:

PS: I don't think it's a smile so much as a smirk.

It's going to take a lot for Hillary to get my vote. Maybe if Warren Beatty ran...

Cheney most definitely visited the disaster area - although he was one of the last. There wasn't much press on it but there was the CNN piece. While talking to reporters, a passerby yelled one of Cheney's own original catch phrases at him. The end result was an incredibly awkward (maybe humorous) moment on live T.V.. Have a look.
