Our client, Kalitta Air Cargo is in need of a Manager of Simulator Operations. Kalitta Air is starting a simulator operation by building a new training facility in Ypsilanti, Michigan (15 miles west of DTW airport). The equipment will begin with the entry into service of the former KLM 747-200 CAE simulator (IBM Host, SPX-500 WIDE) once the facility is constructed and updates/certification of the simulator occur for RFT in late fall 2005.

Candidate should posess experience in maintenance and engineering activities with experience with FAA issues, operations management, and appropriate technical background. This is an excellent chance to get in on the ground floor of a small simulator operation with a growing cargo worldwide cargo operator.

Kalitta Air wishes to bring the person for this position on board very soon to help guide them in fashioning the new operation, hire a staff, and oversee a considerable update and certification project on the sim.

Interested parties should email a current resume' to JPA Inc. at joelplaice@<hidden> Contact by phone should be to 303-456-8768

Proceed with caution. Ask anyone in the industry about this outfit and its maintenance practices.

Given that, I doubt that they're willing to make any kind of serious financial commitment to a quality sim operation.

Would anyone like to explain some of this?

I am the original poster...what would you like explained? As for the "Guest" above's comments, Kalitta Air has already made the "serious" financial investment he alludes to. Would be happy to explain all to you if you'd like to ask any questions.
