You can now rate other users by their comments! Man, I really think this is going to cause some trouble! :demon:

I'm still not 100% sure how this works though. Basically, it looks like everyone starts out with a Reputation Level of 10.

This means that you get one little green dot: http://www.simtechonline.com/forums/images/reputation/reputation_pos.gif

If you are disliked, then you get a red dot: http://www.simtechonline.com/forums/images/reputation/reputation_neg.gif

The better your reputation, the more dots. There are also reputation statements that are assigned to each of the user's level. I'll post them below so you can see what I'm talking about. Some are corny, so perhaps we can come up with some more fitting phrases.

To change another users' reputation, look for the little icon on his post: http://www.simtechonline.com/forums/images/buttons/reputation.gif
You can click on it and chose if you like the post or not. The more "approvals" the higher the reputation level for that person. Each + vote is worth a factor of 1. Thus, a bad vote deducts 1. This number can be multiplied, depending on your "reputation-altering power" (see below).

Here's what the default settings are so far:

at -1000: User is considered scum and need to review this thoughts
at -100: User has a little shameless behavior in the past
at -10: User has a little shameless behavior in the past
at zero: User is an unknown quantity at this point
at 10: User is on a distinguished road
at 50: User will become famous soon enough
at 150: User has a spectacular aura about
at 250: User is a jewel in the rough
at 350: User is just really nice
at 450: User is a glorious beacon of light
at 550: User is a name known to all
at 650: User is a splendid one to behold
at 1000: User has much to be proud of
at 1500: User has a brilliant future
at 2000: User has a reputation beyond repute

UPDATE:
Here's a little more info on how this works:

What reputation level shall new users receive upon registration?
Answer: 10
How many posts must a user have before his reputation hits count on others?
Answer: 3
How much reputation must a user have before his reputation hits count on others?
Answer: 0
How many reputation clicks can a user give over each 24 hour period?
Answer: 10
How many different users must you give reputation to before you can hit the same person again?
Answer 10
For every 100 posts, users gain 1 point of reputation-altering power. This means senior members will have more voting power.
For every 180 days of active membership, users gain 1 point of reputation-altering power. This also means senior members will have more voting power.
Trying the "Thief!" function under the store (used to try and steal points from other users) will deduct 5-50 points from you, depending on if you were sucessful or not.

Also -

If someone gets a good rating on a post from another user, then they get 10 points per vote. The same goes for a bad reputation... you get a bad rating, you lose 10 points.

These points are displayed by your username and avatar. The point system can be used to buy useless things in the "store", betting on events in vBookie, and other things (not yet added).
