Not the A7 but I was on the A10 from 80-83

The A-10 was next door to our "portable" metal building. We gave the "Sky Cops" some serious grief.

Was at Myrtle Beach in '73. Wasn't Billy Pope there at DM?

Yes he was there. He worked as a tech., then on the Development team for the A-7s.

As far as I know he is still in Tucson, worked with him on A-10. When I arrived in '86 he was the "Tech Rep", then he joined the A-10 Dev Team. Last saw him in '92.

I was in the old A-7 and the A-10 shop at DM from 1972 til 1986. Spent some time on the DTT and was Branch chief for awhile. Great shop, great people. Retired and went to work for AAI nad been with them since.

Yes, I remember that. Billy and I worked at the B-52D/KC-135A shop at March AFB circa '69-'73. He went to DM then and I went to Myrtle Beach. A year more and I was stationed with the E-3A JTF at the Boeing Company in Seattle. I was the AWACS DTT guy for some years thereafter.

I (John Abbott) was on the A-7D Simulator at England AFB from 74 through 78.

The only one who kept in touch was Richard Taylor.
