Ansett Training Center Adds FlightSafety Dash 8 Simulator at its Melbourne Australia
LA GUARDIA AIRPORT, New York (March 3, 2005) - FlightSafety?s Melbourne-based Dash 8?Q100/200/300 full flight simulator has received its certification from Australia?s Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) at the ICAO Level ?D? standard. The Dash 8 simulator is located at the Ansett Flight Simulator Center at Tullamarine, Melbourne, Australia. The Australian certification was witnessed by the CAA of New Zealand.
Dash 8 training resources are now better distributed with the Australian facility as an option for operators in the region. The simulator will serve the growing Dash 8 population in Australasia, by introducing a fifth location for FlightSafety Dash 8 training facilities, around the world.
The Ansett Flight Simulator Center now operates four FlightSafety full flight simulators ? a Saab 340, a Swearingen Metro and a Bombardier CRJ regional jet in addition to its new Dash 8-Q100/200/300.
The Ansett Flight Simulator Center retains the officially approved stature of its days as an airline owned-facility with its government-certified facilities. The Melbourne location serves customers from all over Southeast Asia and the Pacific Rim.
