Woody and Phantom,

Thanks, Sunday While riding my bike I got pushed off the sidewalk broke my Right Humorious and ball joint. Light duty with one arm for 6 months, Possible surgery latter on. Not as fast as I used to be. The cars down here want the side walk too. Looks like I'm wintering in Texas. The reason I was looking is that we got pushed back on our project almost ten months and I wanted to get home with the family. but with the bummed wing I better stay where I am at and weather it out, Family looses again. Whats new with that!

Sorry to here about the accident Tim.

I can vouch for Tim. I've seen his work at PAIFA, Dulles and on site with NLX at Simuflite.

I agree, good tech and good person.

Maybe Ttiny can guess who bluesman is now.

Were you at Dulles or around any PAIFA sites?

Tim,

The reason I was asking about relocating is that I just left my sim job for a Chef Instructor job (yes I'm out of sims for good!) and I would put a good word in if you wanted mine. It's only one sim and it runs pretty good. Email me on my personal account for details if interested.

Broke my back three places snow broading with the kids. three years ago. one hand typing is for the bird. Bluesman can only be one person, I didn't even guess that was you.

Thanks all for the good comments about me it sure tells me, that there is really good people in this field.
I have made good friends and great acquaintances in this field and hold sim techs and sim engineers in a very high regard. Some of the smartest intelligent people around

Woody I think I better stay where I am at til at least the sugery is out of the question. By Then where the AVCATT trainer is going I'll be in Sim heaven. 42 week contract a year and paid for 52, plus three weeks regular vac. I burgered up my right arm pretty good this time. maybe years to recover on this one. only reason I wanted out is because I have to stay til june or july now instead Nov this year. but it looks like it will be jun or july of next year when I get home.

Again thanks everyone

Well folks it appears I am not wintering in Tx after all. They may have to rebuild my socket and put plates and pins in it. Maybe quite a few months for it to heal and many more months of theraphy, So thanks for the concern to all.

Never been to Japan.

Woody,

Yes, I was at Dulles, but not working for PAIFA. 2001

We put a sim in there. Same sim that PAIFA eventually bought and took over all training contracts with said sim.

Well boys and girls the good old doctor has just informed me that my right arm has permately put me on the side lines to being a simulation technician/engineer/test engineer (and almost anything else) any more, The side walks and cars of Tx. has done what no company could do to me.

I want to thank all the my cohorts and companys that I've worked with, Of course some more than others. It's been a heck of a ride in the simulation field, one that in all accounts I will surely miss the cutting edge of technology.

Tim,

It was great talking with you today. Dude, I'd work with you again in a heart beat. The years at CAL were almost always full of laughs. Remember that things always seem to happen for a reason. To the idiots who injuried you, well, I'm sure it will come around some day.

To PhantomPharter,

Yes I get long term disability thru the company and in a month or two I will be getting SSDI which with my kids, I will be a little better off than working full time til I reach 65, I just turned 50 in Sept, I wont get rich but I will make the house and car payments. We have eaten up all my savings on short term, 90 days, so my suggestion to everyone is have a good saving account of some sort, you will need it. if this happens to you?

Now I am planning on Back to school with me to complete a BS in math and than on to a masters in computer science if my arm can take it. Maybe to teach some of these Engineers who can't pour water out of a boot with the instructions written on the bottom, (that is a Joke) I am actually spending time with the family which I haven't done in the past 5 years. My daughter is getting her driving licences, I may actually miss work with this one. She knows one speed and it isn't slow. My son who is fourteen is almost 6 ft and calls me shorty, Best of all they actually look out for me now and try to help me with everything. I must have done something right with these kids. Probally the wife cause I wasn't home.

As I said I really burgered it up, Nerve damage and bone misalignment, I have gotten almost 50 percent operational back and they didn't expect that. An operation may be later on but only if it gets worse. Which they say with arthristis it will get worse. My theraphy nurse could make me cry just by saying Hello. I sure don't want to see her professionally ever again. As I said, I will miss the hands on in simulation.

Hi Tim,

I do not know you, but for whatever reason I hear of an experienced Simtech quitting, I am saddened and no less so than here.

on the Math.. I went to Uni at age 41 for a Masters in A.I. and I know how hard the math can be when you come back to it after a long break.

Farewell Tim and good luck in your new direction.

Hey Tim,

I'm glad to see that you are able to get around and going to travel down another path. I love my job as a Chef and if I know you (and I do!), you'll love going back to school, sitting doing your homework with your kids. I know I do. By the way, tell Becky that the pedal on the left is just as important!!

Thanks Woody,
That family Photo looks great. Your tall (at least by my standards) and your kids are leaps and bounds taller than you, you guys in Uath must give them kids growing pills or something. By the way who is the puny little short guy in the middle? Looks like a chef to me.

You know someday we ought to throw a get together for all the simulation techs and used to be sim techs that we know out there. I think most of us know each other in some way or another even in past lives.

Simulator757 and I talked yesterday as you can tell. I think you may want to give him a jingle. He has something cooking. (little pun) If we can use all our combined knowledge something good could be started there. A little help could go a long way. Maybe a three way converstation, I think I got an old solution that you and Ed had at one time for him.

It's sad when your kids get bigger than you. Martin is 16 now (working on his DL also), stands 6' 6" and wears a size 17 shoe. It's a good thing I'm a chef, its hard to keep him fed!!

Looks like you have been through the mill Ttiny. Are you not in litigation with the driver of the sidewalk maimer. I would be suing the shit out of his insurance company. In Florida at times as many as ten percent of the people don't have car insurance. I hope that's not the case. Best of luck to you.

I like the way you think, but almost everyone has asked did I get the licience number of the car. My response to that is sure thing as I was flying though the air I got out my pencil and paper looked at the licience plate and wrote it down as they were stopping to help me. I was being a little scarcastic there, It was a drive by honk, hit, and run, the guy behind them pulled over and asked if he could take me to the hospital though and it was obvious they did it on purpose. He didn't get the licience plate number either. Although we think it was two young kids in a older white mustang. Not much to go on.

And the next best line is at the xray station, Oh my god Did you know that you have a busted up shoulder and arm? My response lately, No I am in here to get my teeth cleaned!!! Am I at the wrong place? The last 5 months of Xrays and mri's almost every xray tech has said the very same thing. The first couple of times it was Ok but after 5 months it gets a little old.
