My bar band, Chaser Blues, recorded a short demo a couple of weeks ago. The idea is to trace classic rock back to it's blues roots and play some classics.

The recordings were done live in my basement studio, one pass, no overdubs. I had a stereo pair of cheap Behringer condernser mics in the room, and a stereo feed off my Behringer PMX2000 mixer. Since this is the same board I use live, this should be very close to what we would sound like in a club.

I recorded it all into Cakewalk Home Studio as a stereo pair, and then added just a touch of compression and reverb since my basement is a pretty dead space. The CD sounds better than the mp3's on the site, I'll have to look into that.

Please let me know what you all think. I value your input. Our first gig is next Saturday. This is my first project as frontman and band leader. Got a few butterflies- kind of surprising to me after all these years of performing in clubs and leading worship!!
