I am an entry level sim tech looking for a job close to North Dakota. Surrounding midwest states are welcome. I have 3 Gen. Ed. courses yet to complete and will be doing them online if hired. I attended Lake Region State College and would be interested in almost any sim job. If you would like a copy of my resume, please email me with contact information.
I have completed all the required simulation intensive courses with fairly high marks, and I feel I would be a valuable asset to any company that chooses to interview and/or possibly hire. I am a hard worker, and I am not afraid to put in long hours, and I feel my education under Cory Mitzel has made me very knowledgeable in problem solving, common sense approaches, and being a reliable resource to a company.
I am very excited about the field of simulation, and would like to get my career rolling as soon as possible.

There is a B52 simulator (old singer link ast) that is at Minot ND. Not sure if they are hiring or not. If you don't mind the ups and downs.... way downs of airline life you could check into Northwest Airlines which is at Eagan Minnesota. They have lost a bunch of techs within the past 2 months.
Good Luck

Yeah, one of my classmate's fathers works up here in Minot, Bill I believe is his name. Pretty good guy. I would work in Minot, but I do not believe they have any open positions.lolhit:

I'm a graduate of the UNDLR/LRSC program. Send me a pm with your email so I can get back to you. Also if you can, tell teach that Mitch says hello.

Gully - Are they still training you guys on an old A-10 sim up there?

The A-10 was reposessed by the military a while ago. All we had left when I enrolled was the Visual system from it, and I think when we got our newer visual system, we go it rid of the A-10 visuals.

You got rid of the Vital 4 visual, is that the one you got rid of? Funny story behind that visual, a snake got fried in it, along with cards in the cabinet.

Hi Michael,
You mentioned surrounding midwest states...so you could always email or fax a resume over to Kalitta in the Detroit, Michigan area. Not as close as you want but it's still midwest.

Yup, it was a Vital 4. We shipped it and the A-10 OFT up there from Davis-Monthan AFB what seems like three life times ago (Late 80's).
Glad to hear it's gone back into active duty.
Tom
If you are really looking to earn a career, sims can be a good career field. If you think you are done learning and entitled to spoon fed training from senior techs on site, do us and yourself a favor and go back to the farm. Simulators have way too many punks already.

Dak I went to school with gully and pardon my harsh tone but whats with the additude. Lake Region as a good track record of producing serious techs that want to succeed, the man leading the program right now makes sure to instill that additude. Also the fact that he devoted 3 years to an education on the subject kinda tells me that he IS serious about a career. I'm not disputing competance here but in my opinon logging on to post on my friends thread simply to put in your 2 cents about most "young punks" serves no real addition to his threads intent and is also kinda rude. Next time look, and take some time before generalizing people.

Watson, Take it easy. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Maybe you should ask Dak6 why he feels the way he does. That might give you some insight. You might find during your sim career that many longer working, experienced sim techs have felt that way one time or another. Dak6 was just giving advice.

Yes I have heard from older techs out there of the problem of people coming in wanting a free ride, but my only point in my previous post was just because there are alot people out there with that additude does not mean that EVERYONE new is like that. I was just making a comment saying what I thought of generalizations and stereotypes. Thats all.
