I'm taking this thread to a different level due to what day it is...

I would like to say thank you to everyone that comes to this site, and the members of this site, that served in the military for this great country. I do know that "ALL GAVE SOME AND SOME GAVE ALL" to make this country what it is today. All of you that that put on that uniform have my greatest thanks and respect.

Once again, thank you!!!

phase 2 of sub quals.
phase 3, insulting new enswines before they get ripe and figure it out.
phase 4, learning to sleep on your side with butt to the wall and1 eye open.
phase 5, facing down a division officer when he gives a direct and lawfull order that you know will breaksomething important, or get the crew killed, like the sonar/firecontrol system and telling him to f' off in a way that does not cost you a stripe, and you win the argument. all of phase 5 is the most important, coffee carrying up a ladder in state 5 seas without spilling is in the top 5.
then it gets to the real fun stuff, like running drills 14 hours a day, during your off watch and then standing a 6 hour watch staring at a fire control screen full of little wiggly dotts that hipnotize you into a stuper untill sonar gets excited about a unfreindly close to starboard, tracking it for 3 hours and finding out it is a school of shrimp with a fishing traller working nets, 2 hours sleep, and repeat for 70-75 days, and the gourmet food, PB&J, cold tomatoe soup and "anything adobo", including spaghetti and plastic eggs. and of course the old GI fave, sh*t on a shingle for breakfast and lunch. and something called "scrapple" that as far as i could find out was basically white trash style chittlin's.
p.s. i re-up'd 3 times. deal: tired: boggle:

Everyone else reading this, it was a joke between me and Pirate.
