QUALIFICATIONS:


Technical diploma or degree in programming, software, IT, aviation or electronics or equivalent relevant experience.
Thorough understanding of computer/simulator architecture, particularly relationships between system components.
Ability to manipulate software to debug, troubleshoot, update and compile code for use in a flight simulator application.
Basic troubleshooting skills and knowledge of how to use electronic testing equipment.
Ability to learn and apply skills in the flight simulator environment in order to maintain and operate all required equipment.
Strong customer focus and excellent customer service skills.
Strong communication skills, particularly for technical information.
Able to work alone or as part of a dynamic technical team.
Experience in flight simulator or aviation environment an asset.
Knowledge of simulator systems, international regulations for flight training devices and the aviation/aerospace business an asset.


POSITION PROFILE:


Debug and troubleshoot hardware and software problems originating in both the flight training devices and facility.
Respond to customers' training-related needs in a courteous and timely manner to ensure that flight training equipment is consistently reliable and available.
Perform logistical/administrative duties as required.
Shift work and field work required.
