POSITION PROFILE:

? Responsible for all software engineering and integration activities within the new Demonstration Centre integrated in the Montreal Aviation Training Centre.
? Responsible for the overall health of the simulator-type being maintained and concurrently aware of all major activities and initiatives in the maintenance aspect of the department.
? In addition to serving as a coach and technical reference for the entire department, the incumbent makes the decisions and recommendations on technical issues and exercises initiative in following up customer-related concerns on a device-type.
? Possibility of short travel on a non-regular basis.

QUALIFICATIONS:

? Electrical, Mechanical or Computer Engineering degree with three or four years of experience with CAE products.
? Knowledge of CAE's simulator hardware architecture and simulation environment products (SIMEX, STARTEAM, STRIVE, etc.).
? Knowledge of real-time systems and programming languages such as C and C++.
? Knowledge of computer architecture and communication network (TCP/IP, Ethernet, etc.).
? Knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
? Knowledge of aircraft cockpit environment and aircraft systems components functionality.
? Knowledge and experience with debugging and analyzing simulator software tools.
? Ability to work and make decisions with minimum supervision.
? Excellent communication and reporting skills in French and English.
? Strong customer focus.
? Flexible, team player.
